The SNCF Class BB 27300 is a class of 67 electric locomotives built by Alstom as part of its Prima range, with the first delivered starting in 2006. They are the passenger equivalent of the freight only Class BB 27000, painted in the blue and white livery of Transilien, the brand name for the SNCF network around Paris, and equipped for push-pull operation on suburban passenger services in the Paris region, where they work with refurbished VB2N double-deck carriages. The power of each locomotive is 4,200 kilowatts. The locomotives carry a train protection system derived from a balise based speed control system, known as the KVBP, and two pantographs, one dedicated to the 1500 V direct current supply and the other to the 25000 V alternating current supply.
