All Rail Mode

Transport modes that move people or goods along fixed rails or a guided track, whether the vehicle is a conventional wheeled train, a magnetically levitated vehicle, or an automated guideway system. Belongs here: any mode whose defining feature is movement along a fixed guided path using rail or rail-like infrastructure, from heavy freight and passenger railways to light rail, monorail and maglev. Does not belong here: road vehicles that merely run in a dedicated lane rather than on a guided track, or cable-hauled systems, which are grouped separately under Cable-Drawn Mode even where they run on rails.
