Dornier Do 14

Flying Boats and Seaplanes

The Dornier Do 14 was a prototype seaplane developed by Dornier Flugzeugwerke with backing from the Luftwaffe for experimental propulsion studies, and was similar to the Dornier Do 12. Only one was built, registered D-AGON, with a crew of two and a single 560 kW BMW VId V-12 engine. After test flights during 1936 its engines were dismantled in 1937, and the prototype was finally scrapped in 1939. The specification gives a maximum speed of 446 km/h and a range of 500 km.
