The Kawasaki Ninja is a name Kawasaki has applied since 1984 to a line of sport motorcycles spanning small displacement commuter oriented models to large displacement superbikes, the Ninja name first introduced on the GPZ900R. The line became one of the best known sport motorcycle brands in the world, and later Ninja models such as the supercharged H2 pushed production motorcycle performance to speeds and power outputs well beyond what earlier generations of sport bikes had reached.
