Suzuki GSX1400

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Suzuki GSX1400 is a muscle bike that Suzuki made from 2001 to 2008, intended as a faster and more torque rich version of the similar Bandit 1200 with more up to date technology, though it was still described as disco era in character. At first it was built only for Japan and Europe and it reached the Australian market in 2001, and there was a movement to bring it to the United States and Canada. It is redlined at 9,000 rpm, but strong low and mid range performance means there is little point taking it past 7,000 rpm, and its small fuel injection throttle bodies limit breathing at high revs while improving low end response. UK models changed in detail over the years, with wheels going from white to black, a four into one exhaust replacing a four into two and Yoshimura branded silencers, and the last model was sold in 2008.
