Suzuki Bandit series

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Suzuki Bandit is a series of standard motorcycles produced by Suzuki since 1989. Apart from the single-cylinder GSX150, every Bandit has a DOHC inline-four engine with four valves per cylinder: the GSF600 engine is based on the GSX600F unit retuned for mid-range torque, the GSF1200 engine is a bored-out GSX-R1100 engine, and the GSF650 and GSF1250 use fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engines, the GSF1250 with a balance shaft to reduce vibration. The S versions have a half-fairing, and from model year 2000 dual headlights, while the N versions are unfaired naked bikes with a single headlight. The series earned a reputation as hooligan bikes, and the GSF1200 remains popular with stunt riders and is used by a wheelie school in the UK. Models range from the 248 cc GSF250 of 1989 to the 1,255 cc GSF1250.
