The Honda Nighthawk 250 is a standard motorcycle that Honda has made since 1992. It has a 234 cc air-cooled, 360-degree-crank parallel-twin engine. With styling that mimics the 1991 to 2003 Nighthawk 750 (RC38), it used the 1985 to 1987 Rebel 250 engine with all-new wiring and components, a slightly reshaped cam cover and a larger carburettor; the engine is a single-carburettor version of the CD250U engine, which makes a smooth exhaust sound because its 360-degree crank gives evenly spaced combustion. In contrast to the Rebel 250, which has very similar specifications, the Nighthawk 250 is considered a standard street motorcycle for urban use. Its small size and low seat make it popular with beginners and smaller riders, and it is often used in Motorcycle Safety Foundation training courses in the US.
