Honda CBX125

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Honda CBX125 was a 125 cc class motorcycle that Honda Motor Co. built and sold until 1996. In the early 1980s Honda sold the two-cylinder CB125T and the single-cylinder CB125JX side by side in the 125 cc four-stroke class, and the CBX125 was developed when the CB125JX was fully redesigned in 1984. Two versions were offered, the CBX125F, a naked bike with a headlight cowl, and the CBX125 Custom, an American-style model. Its main feature is the 124 cc air-cooled four-stroke four-valve DOHC single-cylinder JC11E engine, with a bore and stroke of 58.0 by 47.0 mm and a compression ratio of 11.0, which uses the radial valve layout and two carburettors in the same way as the CBX250RS. The F version was tuned for high revs and the Custom for low and mid-range torque, and a 1993 update changed the engine character, so early and late types are distinguished.
