The Honda CBF500 is a standard motorcycle that Honda made between 2004 and 2007 as the Euro-2 compliant replacement for the CB500. It has a 56 hp, 499 cc parallel twin and a top speed of 125 mph, and it was discontinued after 2007 when the Euro-3 standards became mandatory in the EU, the natural replacement being the bigger inline-four CBF600. It uses the same engine, transmission and final drive as the earlier CB models, but the engine is a stressed member of the frame, and it has updated fuel and emissions systems and new instruments, bodywork and suspension. Unlike the CB, the CBF was available only as a naked bike without the half-fairing of the previous CB500S, and ABS versions were sold as the CBF500A.
