The Honda CBF150 is the smallest displacement model in Honda's naked motorcycle range, first put on the road at the end of 2006. Its single-cylinder four-stroke engine displaces 149 cc and produces 11.28 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 12.7 newton metres of torque at 5,250 rpm, driving through a five speed gearbox with electronic ignition, in a motorcycle that weighs about 130 kg. The Turkish encyclopedia article that describes it presents it as an alternative to cheap Far Eastern machines in Turkey and countries with a similar economy. It credits well chosen gearbox ratios for fuel consumption close to that of 100 cc motorcycles, a balance shaft for smooth and quiet running, a light aluminium chassis with a Pro-Link rear suspension that gathers the weight near the centre, and a three part silencer that keeps exhaust noise low.
