The Honda CB500T is a standard motorcycle that Honda built and sold in 1975 and 1976. It closely resembles the model from which it was derived, the later five-speed version of the CB450, which was discontinued in 1974. Its engine is an air-cooled 498 cc double overhead cam vertical parallel twin with a 180-degree crankshaft and torsion bar valve springs, fed by two 32 mm Keihin constant-velocity carburettors, and it has a five-speed transmission. It received little praise from reviewers or riders, though Cycle World noted the comfortable, roomy seat in its 1975 test, saying it was long enough to carry a briefcase or passenger without crowding the rider and soft enough that you could ride far and still get off smiling.
