The Honda CB400 Super Four is a standard motorcycle in the Honda CB series with a 399 cc inline-four engine, built at Honda's Kumamoto plant from 1992 to 2022 and again since 2026. It carries the formula of the Universal Japanese Motorcycle of the 1970s, a naked retro design with a smooth inline four, updated with modern technology. Unveiled in 1991 at the Tokyo Motor Show as a 400 cc version of the CB1000 Super Four, it was originally a Japan-only bike, later sold in Southeast Asia and, from 2008, in Australia. The 1999 Hyper VTEC version added Honda's VTEC valve system, and later years brought many refinements.
