The Honda CB1100F was a standard motorcycle that Honda made only in 1983, built on its line of DOHC air-cooled inline-four engines and succeeded by the CB1000. It was based on the CB900F and the CB1100R, with hotter cams, larger pistons, four 34 mm Keihin CV carburettors and a redesigned combustion chamber for 108 bhp at 8,500 rpm, more rake, a 240 km/h speedometer and adjustable two-piece handlebars. Cycle World recorded a quarter mile of 11.13 seconds at 120.48 mph and called it the fastest stock bike ever tested. It was sold in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia, with sportier rearset controls and gold Comstar wheels outside the US.
