The BMW R1250R is an unfaired roadster motorcycle from the German maker BMW, shown to the public at the EICMA trade fair in November 2018 and on sale from the start of 2019. It was the second BMW motorcycle after its sister model the R1250GS to carry the newly developed boxer engine with the variable intake valve control that BMW calls ShiftCam technology. In Germany the base price at the start of sales was 13,750 euros, and for model year 2024 the bike was listed from 15,490 euros there and from 17,120 euros in Austria. The R1250R sits in BMW Motorrad's R-series of boxer-twin machines beside the faired R1250RS and the touring R1250RT.
