BMW F 650 ST

The BMW F 650 ST, with ST short for the Italian strada, road, is the more road-oriented model of the first F 650 series, added to the off-road F 650 in 1996, although the same article lists its presentation under the 1997 model year. With the same engine and drive it differs from the off-road F 650 by an 18 inch front wheel instead of a 19 inch, road tyres, a wheelbase shortened from 1,480 to 1,465 mm, a shorter rear suspension travel of 120 mm instead of 165 mm, a seat height of 78.5 cm instead of 82 cm, a narrower and more cranked handlebar, a cockpit with an integrated clock in place of the temperature display, a lower windshield and a changed design of windscreen, cockpit and stickers. In all 13,349 F 650 ST were produced.
