BMW F 450 R

The BMW F 450 R is a roadster from BMW, an unfaired naked motorcycle presented in October 2026 whose styling recalls the BMW S 1000 R and which can be ridden on the class A2 licence. Like its sister model the F 450 GS of 2025, it has a lattice frame of steel tubes and forged parts in which the engine is a stressed member, a 17 inch front wheel in a 43 mm upside-down fork with 140 mm of travel, a 17 inch rear wheel on a cast aluminium two-arm swingarm with a central shock, and a wheelbase about 6 cm shorter than the 450 GS, with cornering ABS Pro. The water-cooled inline twin, despite the name, displaces 420 cc, with a bore of 72 mm, a stroke of 51.6 mm, four valves per cylinder and two overhead camshafts, giving 35 kW (48 PS) at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. A 135 degree crank offset and a balancer shaft give a distinctive sound, a chain drives the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox, the tank holds 14 litres and the WMTC consumption is 3.8 litres per 100 km.
