The Suzuki GSX-R600 is a 599 cc sports motorcycle in Suzuki's GSX-R series. It was launched in 1992 with a water-cooled 599 cc inline-four engine and the same body specifications as the 1992 GSX-R750, carried through the 1993 model year, and it was not imported to the United Kingdom at first. It was not produced from 1994 to 1996, then redesigned in 1997 with Suzuki Ram Air Direct, followed by fuel injection in 2001 and a limited run of 1,500 Alstare racing-graphics bikes in 2003, mostly in Germany. Later redesigns in 2004, 2006 and 2008 brought inverted forks with radial brakes, an all-new engine with a slipper clutch and the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, and the 2011 model was 9 kg lighter with Showa Big Piston Forks and Brembo monobloc calipers.
