The Kawasaki ZZR600, sold in many markets as the ZX-6 Ninja, is a 600 cc class sport motorcycle that Kawasaki built from 1990 to 2008. The ZX-6 series was Kawasaki's flagship 600 until 1994, when the ZX-6R race replica replaced it, but the ZZR600 name carried on in Europe and later in North America. A 599 cc engine powered it from 1990 to 2004. In 1993 Kawasaki fitted lighter, larger valves and ducts and lighter pistons, added ram air and replaced the two-part aluminium and steel chassis with a single full aluminium one. The 2003 and 2004 North American model was mechanically the earlier ZX-6 in new paint, and the 2005 to 2008 bike reissued the 2001 ZX-6R with the same liquid-cooled DOHC inline-four, still carbureted. The instruments include a fuel gauge and a temperature gauge.
