Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14, sold in some markets as the ZZR1400 and from 2012 as the ZX-14R, is a sport motorcycle in the Ninja series from the Japanese manufacturer Kawasaki, and was the company's most powerful sport bike as of 2006. It was introduced at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show and released for the 2006 model year as the replacement for the ZZ-R1200. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 2.5 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited to 299 km/h under an agreement between the major Japanese and European makers. It earned the nicknames King of the Quarter Mile and Hayabusa Killer. The 2012 ZX-14R added more displacement, variable power modes, traction control and a slipper clutch.
