Kawasaki Ninja H2

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is a hypersport motorcycle in Kawasaki's Ninja range and the first production motorcycle fitted with a supercharger. Its 998 cc inline-four engine drives a two-speed centrifugal supercharger through gears and shafts from the flywheel, with electronic throttle control. The name recalls the 750 cc H2 Mach IV triple of 1972. Kawasaki announced it in a teaser campaign in late 2014 and showed the track-only H2R at Intermot on 30 September 2014, with the street-legal H2 revealed at EICMA that November. The H2 is said to make about 200 horsepower and the H2R around 300. Both sit in a tubular steel trellis frame with a single-sided swingarm and a wheelbase of 1,450 mm. Variants include the 2017 limited H2 Carbon of 120 units and the sport-touring H2 SX from 2018.
