Kawasaki Ninja 300

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Kawasaki Ninja 300, also called the EX300, is an entry-level sport bike introduced by Kawasaki in 2012 for the 2013 model year. It is built on the Ninja 250R and has a 296 cc straight-twin engine, a full fairing, a wider 140/70 rear tyre, five-spoke wheels, optional anti-lock brakes and a slipper clutch with an assist mechanism that lightens the lever. Dynamometer tests found about 40 horsepower against the 250's 25, and its top speed has been recorded at 180 km/h. It was sold in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America, competing with the Yamaha R3, KTM RC390, Suzuki GSX250R and Honda CBR300R. The Ninja 400 replaced it in most markets, in part to meet Euro IV emissions rules.
