Kawasaki Ninja 250R

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Kawasaki Ninja 250R, codenamed EX250, is Kawasaki's entry-level sport motorcycle, introduced in 1986 and a member of the Ninja sport bike series from the Japanese manufacturer. Over a quarter of a century it changed little, with only three substantial redesigns, and its ergonomics and chassis straddle the standard and sport classes. The earliest EX250-C was sold in Japan and Australia from 1983 as the GPz-250, while outside the United States the later bikes carried names such as ZZR-250, ZX-250 and GPX-250R. From 2008 it was marketed as the Ninja 250R in every market. In 2013 it was replaced by the 296 cc Ninja 300 in some markets, and a new 2018 Ninja 250 and Ninja 400 were introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2017.
