The Honda VF500F, badged Interceptor in the US and Canada, is a 498 cc sport motorcycle that Honda manufactured from 1984 to 1986 and is widely regarded as one of the finest handling motorcycles of the 1980s. It was part of the first generation of Honda V4 bikes, the VF400F, VF500F, VF700F, VF750F and VF1000F, and was derived from the Japanese-market VF400F but with an entirely specific engine and chassis. Its engine was used almost unchanged in the Magna V30. Built for North America and Europe, it had a skeleton square tubular steel frame, air-adjustable forks and rear mono-spring damper, a cast aluminium swingarm and a 16-inch front wheel for lighter steering, and the CBR600F Hurricane replaced it in 1987.
