The Honda RVF400R, model code NC35, was a sport bike that Honda manufactured from 1994 to 1996. It was powered by a 16-valve double overhead geardriven cam 400 cc 90-degree V4 four-stroke engine and was known for its handling. Two models were produced, the RVF400RR of 1994 and the RVF400RT of 1996, which differed only in paint schemes: the RR was in Honda's Sparkling red, Ross white and Atessa blue, the RT in Sparkling red, Ross white and Uranus purple, with the RT's yellow RVF logo the most distinguishing feature. Production finished in 1996, though unsold RVFs remained available from Japanese Honda dealers until 2001. The RVF400R is the smaller sibling of the RVF750R (RC45), as the VFR400R (NC30) was to the VFR750R (RC30), and it was the successor to the VFR400R NC30, which ceased production in 1993.
