Honda RCV1000R

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Honda RCV1000R was a road racing motorcycle developed to race in the Open class of the MotoGP world championship for the 2014 season. It was basically a simplified production-racer version of the RC213V that teams outside the manufacturers' association could enter in the Open class, and it lasted only one season before the newer RC213V-RS replaced it in 2015. It lacks the RC213V's seamless shift gearbox and pneumatic valves, is less fuel-efficient, and has a 23 litre tank against the 20 litre limit for factory-status bikes, and its ECU runs the official Dorna software rather than Honda's own. Its 90-degree V4 produces more than 175 kW at 16,000 rpm and 110 N m of torque, and each rider received two machines and two spare engines.
