The Honda NS series was a series trademark for motorcycles that Honda Motor Co. once built and sold. It was a road sport series, produced from the mid-1980s, with water-cooled two-stroke engines, and models were sold in the 50 cc, 125 cc, 250 cc and 400 cc classes. Production ended with the NS-1 in 1999 because of the effect of vehicle emission regulations. All models share the water-cooled two-stroke engine and, as common points, a six-speed manual transmission, telescopic front suspension and a Pro-Link swingarm at the rear. Their frames are double-cradle types, apart from the 50 cc models, which have a semi-double-cradle frame. The 50 cc class of 49 cc motorised bicycles had three models, beginning with the NS50F and NS50R.
