BMW M 1000 XR

The BMW M 1000 XR is a motorcycle from BMW Motorrad, sold since 2024, that mixes a sport tourer with a superbike and is classed as an all-rounder. It is based on the second generation of the S 1000 XR (K69). BMW showed it as a prototype at the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy on 6 June 2023 and presented the production version on 26 October 2023, with sales beginning in early 2024. An oil- and water-cooled inline four-cylinder four-stroke engine of 999 cm3 produces 148 kW (201 PS) at 12,750 rpm and 113 Nm at 11,100 rpm, enough for 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 278 km/h. Winglets add downforce above 100 km/h, it has launch control and a pit lane limiter, and no luggage case sets are offered. A bridge frame of aluminium composite and Dynamic Damping Control suspension are standard, and an optional M Competition package lowers the weight to 220 kg.
