Honda Faze

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Honda Faze (FAZE) was a scooter-type motorcycle with a 248 cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine that Honda Motor Co. built and sold in Japan. It went on sale on 10 July 2009 as a simplified, lighter and cheaper alternative to the Forza of the same displacement: it lacks the Forza's manual-mode Honda S-Matic Evo, smart card key, hazard switch and parking brake, has a smaller under-seat luggage box and single-lamp head and tail lights, and weighs 180 kg, which made it the lightest 250 cc scooter in Japan until Yamaha released the X-MAX. Its caster angle was made steeper and its wheelbase 5 mm shorter than the Forza's for better cornering, and its output of 23 ps was higher than the Forza's 22 ps. A TYPE-S version with Honda S-Matic Evo and a hazard switch was added in November 2009, and the end of production of all models was announced in 2015.
