BMW CE 04

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The BMW CE 04 is an electric scooter produced by BMW Motorrad. The Concept Link design study previewed it as the successor to the C evolution electric scooter as early as 2017, when it was shown at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on Lake Como. The Concept Link had a touchscreen instrument panel and luggage space beneath the seat made available by the electric traction motor, and a jacket linked wirelessly to the scooter let the rider make gestures to operate controls. An updated concept called Definition CE 04 was shown in November 2020 at BMW's Next/Gen 2020 virtual show, with a large instrument screen connected to the rider's smartphone and an illuminated jacket that charged the phone wirelessly. In July 2021 BMW officially presented the final production version, scheduled to go on sale in February 2022.
