The Suzuki V-Strom 250, also known as the DL250, is an adventure touring motorcycle with a 248 cc straight-twin engine and a standard riding posture, manufactured in China by Suzuki since 2017 as the entry in the lighter adventure line below the V-Strom 650, 1000 and 1050. It was unveiled in 2017, originally for the Asian market, and was meant to compete with the BMW G310R and the 250 and 300 cc Kawasaki Versys. The V-Strom name is kept for the family although this bike has a parallel twin rather than a V-twin, and Suzuki officials have said the V was also meant to indicate versatility. The engine was first designed for the GW250 Inazuma 250 and the GSX250R. From 2017 to 2020 the bike was sold in Europe, Australia and Asia, and since 2021 only in Asia, where a single-cylinder variant of the same name is now built in India.
