Kawasaki KX250F

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Kawasaki KX250F is a liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve, four-stroke single motocross motorcycle with a 249 cc engine, made by Kawasaki. It was co-developed with Suzuki under a joint venture that began in 2002, which also produced the Suzuki RMZ250, its mechanical twin. The first year was 2004, and it saw immediate success in Supercross and Motocross racing, capturing the East and West supercross championships and the national motocross title. For the 2006 model year Kawasaki took its own route with an all-new bike that had an aluminium perimeter frame, a heavily revised engine, new Showa shocks and Renthal handlebars. The 2009 model brought engine enhancements to increase power and save weight and a titanium-coated suspension, the 2011 model added digital fuel injection and Showa separate function forks, a second injector followed in 2012 and a further revamp came in 2013.
