Kawasaki KLX250S

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Kawasaki KLX250S is a relatively lightweight dual-purpose motorcycle that can be ridden both on and off the road. Its 249 cc engine gives a top speed of about 137 km/h. The model is described in two generations: a first generation sold in 2006 and 2007, and a second generation that ran from 2009 to 2020. The second generation brought an all-digital instrument console, a stiffer seat, a new fender shape and headlight, thicker spokes, increased fuel capacity and a new swing arm, with somewhat less suspension travel and ground clearance than before. In 2009 and 2010 Kawasaki also offered a supermoto-inspired variant, the KLX250SF. The second generation is the one the article describes in the most detail.
