Honda XRE300

The Honda XRE 300 is a single-cylinder dual-sport motorcycle designed and manufactured by Honda in Brazil. It was launched in August 2009 to replace at once the two South American on-road and off-road motorcycles of the Japanese firm, the XR250 Tornado and the NX-4 Falcon. Unlike their 250 cc and 400 cc engines, its fuel-injected 300 cc engine, with programmed fuel injection, meets Brazil's new PROMOT 3 emissions rules, and it has an optional anti-lock brake. Heavily based on its 250 cc predecessor, it is aimed at urban riders but can be used for light trail work. It delivers close to 26 hp at 7,500 rpm and a cruising speed of 85 to 90 km/h in the middle of the tachometer range. The XRE300 is used by motorised infantry brigades of the Brazilian army, and in 2018 the Policia Nacional of Colombia acquired it for its police officers.
