Honda XL 100 series

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Honda XL 100 series is a series of off-road motorcycles that Honda produced from 1974 to 1985. For years Honda had offered, next to most of its touring models, a slightly different model suitable for unpaved roads, the CL models, and in the 100 cc class that was the Honda CL 100, built from 1970 to 1973. In that line Honda had also brought out a model meant for heavier terrain, the Honda SL 100, with much longer suspension travel, more ground clearance and knobby tyres. The XL 100 followed that line and was sold from 1974, and the Dutch article describes the series by period, beginning with the 1974 to 1978 XL 100.
