The Honda NX650 Dominator is a dual-sport motorcycle that Honda manufactured from 1988 to 2003, with several variants over that time that differed in fairing design or mechanical details. Its single-cylinder engine is slightly larger than that of the XR600L, enlarged to a 100 mm bore and 82 mm stroke for 644 cc, and makes 44 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 53 N m of torque, with a gear-driven counterbalancer smoothing vibration. It has four valves operated by a chain-driven overhead camshaft, a 40 mm Keihin carburettor, a dry-sump oil system, a five-speed gearbox and dual exhausts beside the rear fender. The 41 mm fork gives 8.5 inches of travel, there is a 21-inch front wheel with a single disc brake, and the rear wheel is a 17-inch spoked wheel with a drum on the US model and a disc on later European bikes.
