The Honda NX250 is a lightweight crossover dual-sport motorcycle for both on-road and off-road riding that Honda sold in the United States from 1988 through 1990. It used the new MD21E engine, a liquid-cooled 249 cc single-cylinder four-valve DOHC four-stroke with electric start, a six-speed gearbox and an 11 to 1 compression ratio, and it had a 1,350 mm wheelbase, a 118 kg dry weight and an 820 mm seat height. The suspension was 37 mm forks with 8.7 inches of travel and Pro-Link at the rear. In some countries production continued to 1993 under the name NX250 Dominator, and a modified AX-1 version with alloy rims, aluminium Pro-Link suspension, a rear disc brake and dual round headlights was made for Japan and offered in Oceania.
