Honda NX 200

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Honda NX 200 is a trail-style motorcycle that Honda sold in Brazil from 1993 to 2001. Launched in September 1993 as the successor to the NX 150, it shared its 196.9 cubic centimetre engine with the CBX 200 Strada, which debuted at the same time. The engine produced 18 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 1.8 kilogram-force metres of torque at 6,500 rpm, against 15 horsepower and 1.28 for the NX 150, and drove through a five-speed gearbox with average fuel use of 25 to 30 kilometres per litre. Its styling drew on the larger NX 350 Sahara, and it had a front semi-fairing, a small eight litre tank and a disc brake on the front wheel only. It became popular for trail riding as well as city use, and the XR 250 Tornado of 2001 eventually replaced it.
