Honda MR50

The Honda MR50 Elsinore is an off-road mini cycle made by Honda. It was manufactured in Japan and imported first to Australia and the United States in 1974, and it stayed available in the US, Canada and Australia until production was discontinued in 1975. It was patterned after the CR125 and CR250 Elsinores and was sometimes called the Baby Elsinore, with spoke wheels, knobby tyres and plastic fenders like its big brothers. The engine was a 49 cc air-cooled two-stroke with a three-speed manual transmission, starting by primary kick, with conventional controls and a shift pattern of neutral at the bottom and three up. Lubrication was premix at 25:1, the exhaust had a spark arrestor and ignition was by points, and parents could limit the rider's speed by putting an Allen screw in one of four throttle stops. The 1974 bike had red fenders and a red tank with a black stripe.
