Honda CRF450R

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Honda CRF450R is a four-stroke racing motocross motorcycle built by Honda and the successor to the CR250R two-stroke, with the CRF450X as its enduro version. It was introduced in 2002, and unlike the rival Yamaha YZ426 the first generation had an aluminium frame. The second generation of 2005 to 2008 had a redesigned motor and frame, and in 2008 the Honda Progressive Steering Damper arrived. The third generation of 2009 to 2012 added fuel injection, the fourth generation of 2013 to 2016 a twin exhaust to centralise mass and air forks, and the fifth generation from 2017 a new engine, optional and then standard electric start and Showa coil spring forks, with an all-new swingarm for 2019.
