The BMW G 310 GS is a lightweight adventure touring motorcycle developed jointly by BMW and TVS Motor Company of India, a sister model of the G 310 R. In 2013 BMW announced a collaboration with TVS to produce a series of sub-500 cc bikes in Tamil Nadu, aimed at developing markets where smaller displacements are popular and as entry-level sport bikes in developed markets, the first time BMW Motorrad had worked on sub-500 cc machines. The code name K03 was given to the first joint product, a test bike developed in India and sent to Germany for further testing, and the G 310 Stunt, shown in Brazil in October 2015, was the first concept. The G 310 GS has a 313 cc liquid-cooled four-stroke four-valve single-cylinder reverse-inclined DOHC engine with a counterbalance shaft and electronic fuel injection, which needs at least 91 RON petrol and tolerates up to 15 percent ethanol, and an 11 litre tank.
