BMW F 700 GS

The BMW F 700 GS is a road enduro motorcycle from BMW, presented in 2012 at the BMW Motorrad Days in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and replacing the F 650 GS in 2013. It was built at the Berlin-Spandau plant with a water-cooled two-cylinder four-stroke inline engine of 798 cc giving 75 PS, using 3.9 litres of 95 octane unleaded petrol per 100 km at a steady 90 km/h and 5.1 litres at 120 km/h, with a 16 litre tank of which 2.7 litres is reserve, cast aluminium wheels of 19 inches at the front and 17 at the rear and a very low seat height for an enduro. Against the F 650 GS it added a double front disc brake, two-channel ABS and new instruments; against the F 800 GS it has 10 PS less, a conventional fork, cast wheels and weighs 5 kg less. Options include electronic suspension adjustment, automatic stability control and a power reduction to 35 kW. A facelift for the 2017 model year met Euro 4 and added riding modes, and the Swiss army introduced the F 700 GS Military in 2017.
