Honda Z50RD

The Honda Z50RD, also known as the Christmas Special or the Chrome Edition, is an all-chrome Honda Z series minibike released in 1986, a limited edition of the Z50R that is considered rare. It has the same specifications as the 1986 Z50R, a 49 cc single-piston engine, a three-speed transmission and drum brakes, and what sets it apart is that most visible parts, including the fuel tank, fenders, exhaust, forks, frame, wheels and handlebars, are chromed, while the wheel hubs and unchromed motor parts are polished and clear-coated. Z50RDs were made in July or August 1986 and shipped to Honda dealers in December; the Z50R and Z50RD together totalled 11,652 shipped in 1986, and a decal reading Special on the tank gave it the Christmas Special name.
