Honda NSR50

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Honda NSR50, model code A-AC10, is a motorcycle produced by the Honda Motor Company. It was offered in a street-legal format in several countries including Japan, France and Spain, and as an off-road race bike variant in both Japan and the USA, which received it as a one-year-only 2004 model designated NSR50R. In Japan it was also offered in 2004 and 2009 as the NSR Mini. The NSR50 was released on 29 May 1987, and important factors in its development were Suzuki's release of the GAG, a 50 cc fully faired mini racer replica, and Yamaha's YSR50. Honda considered both models' advantages and disadvantages and released its own version with a water-cooled engine and dual hydraulic disc brakes, which neither competitor offered. It is one of the most commonly raced motorcycles in minibike club road racing in the US and is popular worldwide.
