Honda Chaly

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Honda produced the Chaly, a minibike, between 1972 and 2000. Like many Japanese cars and motorbikes, the Chaly's name is a neologism. It was officially released in Japan on July 18, 1972, in three versions that year under the names 50-I CF, 50-II CF and 70 CF, the numbers indicating the displacement of either 49 or 72 cc. It is similar in design to the Honda Dax of 1969 and designed to be easy to drive by the whole family, but differs from the Dax by a V-shaped frame, guaranteeing better comfort for women and a more utilitarian use, particularly on the Asian market. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into one generation: the CF series (1972 to 2000 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
