The road-going NR750, internal model code RC40, was one of the most expensive road motorcycles yet offered for sale, with a limited number of 300 examples sold in 1992. Its 750 cc engine developed approximately 130 PS at 14,000 rpm in standard form, while Japanese market motorcycles were restricted by law to 77 PS at 11,500 rpm. It incorporated a range of technologies and design features that later appeared on more common models, and the Ducati 916 copied some design elements from it. Each model year has its own page.
