Honda introduced the Dio AF34 and AF35 in 1995 as the third Dio generation, with a completely new underbone frame of tubes and more aerodynamic bodywork. The AF34 served as the standard variant, while the AF35 Dio ZX functioned as the higher-performance version with a front disc brake, sport-oriented suspension tuning and distinctive graphics. Honda detuned later AF35 versions from about 7.2 PS to about 6.4 PS to meet Japanese regulations.
