In 1992 the higher-spec RC42 CB750 debuted for the European and Japanese markets, where it was called CB750F2 or CB Seven-Fifty in Europe, coinciding with the release of the NC31 CB400 and SC30 CB1000. It had dual front discs and a single rear disc brake, gas-charged shock absorbers and interchangeable foot pegs. The RC42 was widely adopted at Japanese riding schools to prepare riders for large motorcycle license exams.
