Suzuki GSX650F

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Suzuki GSX650F is a sport touring motorcycle made by Suzuki. It is essentially an updated Bandit and fills the gap left by the retired Katana. Its 656 cc liquid cooled engine makes 85 bhp and has a 12,500 rpm redline, and the transmission is a six speed with chain drive. Anti lock brakes became standard equipment in 2009 for Canada. There have been two recalls of the 2008 model sold in the United States for electrical faults that caused stalling while riding and improper battery charging. In Australia and New Zealand the model is sold in FU and F silver engine versions to meet the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme, which Suzuki achieves by shipping a modified engine control module that maps most of the upper rev range to lower power output. The LAMS version is identified by fairing graphics that blend more gently than the sharper lines of the F.
