The Eliminator is a line of Kawasaki cruisers whose name was first used in 1985 on the ZL900 A1, one of the first sport cruisers because it put a sport bike engine, the 908 cc four from the GPZ900R, into a cruiser frame. Since then the name has covered engines from 124 cc to 997 cc. The ZL900 was built in Lincoln, Nebraska for the American market and made for only two years. It was followed by the ZL1000 with the Concours engine, made only in 1987 and 1988, by the ZL750, ZL600 and ZL400, and by small cruisers such as the EL250, the EL175 sold in India with Bajaj Auto and the 125 cc Eliminator used in Motorcycle Safety Foundation beginner courses. Kawasaki revived the name in 2023 with the Eliminator 400 and 500, both parallel twins.
