Honda VTX Series

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Honda VTX series is a line of V-twin cruiser motorcycles built by Honda in two engine families, the VTX1800 launched in 2001 as a 2002 model and the VTX1300 introduced for the 2003 model year. VTX stands for V-Twin Extreme, and the design was inspired by the Zodia concept shown at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show. Both families share a 52 degree liquid-cooled V-twin layout with shaft final drive, and the VTX1800 was the largest displacement production V-twin in the world when it appeared, with programmed fuel injection and a linked braking system. The VTX1300 line evolved into the VT1300C Custom models from the 2010 model year, among them the Fury, Sabre, Stateline and Interstate.
